The policemen are Corporal Adya Chashe, a.k.a. Jubril Abdullahi, attached to Abattoir Divisional Headquarters, Agege and Corporal Isaac Igba attached to Isokoko Division.
P.M.NEWS investigation revealed that the cops and their gang stormed the residence of a lawyer (name withheld) and after dispossessing him of his cash and valuable items, they gang-raped his wife while one of the robbers raped a younger sister to his wife.
The robber who raped the sister, however, said he liked her and he collected her phone number. Three days later, the robber called her on phone and said he was madly in love with her.
She played along by telling the robber to meet her at a specific place. But the robber rejected that request, saying it was not safe for him to go there.
He suggested a hideout and the lady agreed. She then contacted policemen from SARS who followed her and arrested him.
In his confessional statement, he identified other members of the gang, including the two policemen. They were all arrested and are currently being interrogated.
Sources said Corporal Adya Chashe, until his arrest, was on special duty at Stanbic IBTC Bank near Abattoir Police Station for two years and was always with his pistol while at work and at home.
He had served two retired DPOs at Abattoir Division as orderly.
Items recovered from him was a pistol and a stolen laptop kept in the DPO’s office.
He was said to have a house in Abuja and Lagos. He is also their ring leader.
When the home of Corporal Isaac Igba, attached to Isokoko Division, was searched, an AK47 rifle was recovered from there.
Police sources told P.M.NEWS that the robbers have N25 million in different bank accounts in Abuja and Lagos.
However, that could not be officially confirmed at press time as all the suspects were still being detained at SARS, Ikeja, Lagos.
