‘I was not slapped!’- Davido slams Twitter ‘lies’

If you have been on twitter lately, there’s no way you would have missed the hottest trend in Nigeria, #WhyDavidoGotSlapped

Thousands of Nigerians have been glued to their phones and computers trying  to figure out why arguably Nigeria’s fastest Hip-hop sensation, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, got slapped after rumours had it that he had a scuffle with mobile policemen and was subsequently slapped by the uniformed men ‘for being rude.’

The young hit-maker has quickly refuted the rumours. He took to his Twitter handle and described the twitter trend as “untrue and baseless.”

“I am safe and at home … Stop the lies.” he tweeted.

Davido who is currently signed on to HKN records will be launching his debut album “O.B.O Genesis” at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Sunday, July 22.
