They often say that Lagos is the party capital of Africa’s most populous country. And it’s hard to argue, with guys like Banky W singing established party anthems like ‘Aint no party like the Lagos party’.
That said, Abuja, which is the corporate capital of Nigeria, has over the recent years tried to rival that accolade from Lagos. And they did so in sensational fashion last night when celebrities such as Jim Iyke, Artus Frank, Cynthia Keppy, Uti Nwachukwu, W4 and Denrele- stormed the Federal Capital Territory for the House of Gaga HOG launch party.
One of Abuja’s party cathedrals, A-Lounge was filled to capacity with party goers ready to cheer on their indigenous talents as well as stunt on the dance floor.
Even though the event sought to highlight Modelling and Fashion trends, sizzling stage performances defined what was in many regards- a beautiful night, hosted by the enigmatic Denrele.
Several socialites were on the ground and also present was Abuja-based diva, Keppy- who made her allegiance pretty clear with her customised blouse boldly showing, “I love Bad Guyses”
The show kicked off pretty well and saw notable Abuja entertainers such as Tudice, LK Kuddy, Chuddy K, Nasiim, Funny Bone, Sleek, Fred Bright, ‘three people’, Julietta the Queen of pop and Bad Guyses perform.
The stage performance reached fever pitch when Bad Guyses, dragged Keppy to the stage to drill an unrehearsed performance from the diva.
The unfolding drama and their performance helped to further electrify the audience with their celebrated single; AZONTOLIZING.
Cruise Nigeria was at hand to witness the successful launch, which in many ways re-inforce the claim that ‘House of Gaga’ has well become a force to reckon with in Nigeria’s ever-competitive terrain.
