With the alarming spate of accidents and atrocious death rates, many, this announcement is not only belated, but not in the least surprising.
Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has declared that the Lagos-Ibadan expressway records the highest number of road traffic crashes in the country, warning motorists and other road users to have a change of attitude to lessen the spate of crashes in Nigeria.
The FRSC’s Public Education Officer, Mr. Jonas Agwu, who stated this at a media briefing in Abuja, named Kaduna-Zaria and Abuja-Lokoja roads second and third respectively as killer highways in the country.
